GLC Events ( Vusi Thembekwayo , DJ Sbu , Mmusi Maimane )

We have had the privilege of hosting amazing events in the past few years. Most of these events have been free deliberately. We have always been passionate about the development and growth of entrepreneurs , sometimes to our expense.

Vusi Thembekwayo

We hosted Vusi in 2019 in partnership with a few other stakeholders in the NMB region . The events was a huge success and had well over 800 entrepreneurs in attendance .At 25 Vusi ran a R400mn division in a R17bn multi-national and today is widely regarded as one of the most disruptive forces in venture capital in Africa. He was amongst the youngest directors of a listed company in South Africa and now serves on several boards.

DJ Sbu

We hosted DJ Sbu in 2020 at Nelson Mandela University and once again , PE did not disappoint . The event was full of young vibrant people that wanted to learn from Sbu journey in business and life .DJ Sbu is not your ordinary entrepreneur.
He was born to be great and refuses to settle for lessFrom his childhood in Tembisa to the global stage as a world-class musician and DJ, from music mogul and co-owner of TS Records – the label behind some of South Africa’s brightest young stars – and, more recently, as the force behind the country’s first black-owned energy drink, Sbu’s story is one of courage, resilience, inspiration and a refusal to let failure stop him. Mmusi Maimane

We also had the privilege of hosting a virtual talk with Mmusi Maimane as our guest . This also continues to impact lots of entrepreneurs across the country on Youtube .
